Recyclable Packaging Materials
In contrast to the cardboard boxes customarily used until a few years ago, today's packaging of washing powder and cleaning agents utilizes flexible, recyclable packaging materials - a very efficient measure for reducing waste and cost.
FAWEMA packaging machines for these products will effect packaging from the reel (e.g. FA 745.2 R ) or into pre-made bags (e.g. FA 35.2, FA 445 ); the materials used consist of film or composite materials.
A special feature of FAWEMA machines is the separation of the bag manufacture and bag filling processes which allows the bags to be produced in a virtually dust-free environment at a high output rate. The product will be densified prior to closure of the bag. Folding just above the densified filling level produces a compact and neatly closed bag. Different closure types are possible including those with carrying handles. At the same time, simple handling of format changes is retained, ensuring short set-up times and high machine efficiency.
Washing powder and cleaning agents can be processed with cycle rates of between 30 and 80 packages per minute and filling weights of 1 to 10 kg.
